Full Name: Hunter Broderick Yorke II, but would rather go by Brody
Age and Year: 15, 5th year
Wand: Ash, 12 ¼ inches, unicorn hair core
Blood Type: Pure
Physical Description: Standing at 5'11, he is a muscular boy with a broad build. He has short brown hair which, when he lets it grow long enough, has a
slight curl to it. He has a small earring in his left ear; a tiny symbol of rebellion from the life his parents created for him.
Personality: Brody is a boy who tells it like it is; or at least, how he believes it to be. He isn't usually delicate with his words, which tends to get
him in trouble from teachers. He is fiercely loyal to his friends, and is quite brave. He doesn't back down from a fight. Brody puts up a tough front, but
underneath it all, he has a sweet and sensitive side that would take a truly special person to uncover. He does not respond well to authority figures, as he
sees them all as representations of his father and grandfather. Despite his misbehaviour, Brody is very chivalrous and a true gentleman when it comes to
dealing with the opposite sex.

Brody was born Hunter Broderick Yorke II in the wealthy neighbourhood of Kensington, London. The Yorkes have inhabited the Kensington area for generations,
unbeknownst to their Muggle neighbours. They are a proud and rich family, with strict rules in terms of expected behaviour. The Yorkes conduct themselves in a
very serious and sophisticated way, but to others, they can often appear pompous and condescending. As a Yorke, Brody is expected to be polite, intelligent and
composed. But besides being rather polite to those he respects, Brody has trouble being what his family expects him to be. He is short tempered and does not do
too well in school. His is of average intelligence, but his reluctance to warm up to authority figures makes it harder for him to do well. He likes to
experiment with his style, and does not dress in the posh and swanky way that the rest of his family does. For example, his pierced ear. His father threw a fit
when he saw what Brody had done, and told him to take it out and throw it away. Brody reluctantly removed his earring, but kept it, and wears it whenever his
father isn't around.
Another Yorke expectation is that of chivalry. Yorke men are expected to be gentlemen at all times in the presence of women. This is the only Yorke rule that
Brody agrees with and follows. He always opens to door for women and offers to carry their books. He tries to behave in front of them to the best of his
abilities, though he sometimes slips up and fights or yells.
Though he agrees with the chivalry expectation, the Yorkes believe in marrying only pure wizards and witches, and Brody does not like that at all. His father
and grandfather constantly remind Brody that if he does not marry a pureblood, he will be soiling the bloodline that has existed for generations. They also
insist that he can not be part of the family if he chooses to disobey them.
Brody has younger twin siblings, Chase and Kendall, who are 10 years old. Chase is the perfect little gentleman, and is the pride of his father and mother.
Kendall is a free-spirited little girl who Brody is extremely protective of. He has seen how women in the Yorke family are pressured into arranged marriages to
keep the bloodline pure. He finds it disgusting and hypocritical, because they stress respect for women. He tries to show them that arranged marriages are not
respectful at all, but his grandfather and father insist that it is for their own good; to protect them from manipulating half-bloods and Muggle-borns who look
to take advantage of them in order to disgrace the family name. His grandfather always says, "If we do not look out for our women, they will be made dirty
by the Mudbloods, and left for nothing. Then no self-respecting man will want them! We must protect our women." Brody sees protecting his sister in a very
different way, and hopes that when the time comes, he'll be able to help her escape an arranged marriage.
Brody's most hated time of the year are family dinners. It's when the entire Yorke clan gathers at his grandfather's mansion to discuss family
events and happenings. Brody is forced into fancy clothes by his mother and has to sit through hours of dull conversation and insults, hurled at him by his
father in what he calls a "joking manner", though Brody knows there's a little truth in every "just kidding". Each dinner reminds Brody
that one day, he will be shunned from them for his life decisions. He knows it's only a matter of time until he snaps and can no longer take his
family's strict conservative ways.
